I still laugh at how you tried
And saw how you persuade
You tried like hell to get me
To rewrite your own essays

A member of a team
Soccer kept us busy
The many hours driving
Are precious memories

Both wisdom and advice
Was given and received
This single parent tried
To help you to believe

The gift you give to me
