Do you get it
Did you have it
Have you lost it
What was it

If you lived
Through some pain
Can you feel
The same again

When you feel
Completely lost
And most of all
Worth no cost

You ask yourself
If you get it
Why on earth
Did you forget it

Was it something
You always wanted
Or was it just
A thought that haunted

When you had it
Did you know it
Or did you find it
After you lost it

What does it mean
When you have it
Sometimes in life
It’s just not worth it

Only when
You have lost it
Do you remember
To deposit

Into your head
And in your heart
Repeat, repeat
To brain impart

When you get it
Hindsight vision
Makes more sense
To believe in

Modify
To protect it
So you don’t ask
Did you get it

You can’t lose
What is lost
But you can find
Better thoughts
