You are human
And alone inside you
But out in the world
Others depend on you


Every man for himself
Was never the way
Even though,
It helped some days


When we fend for ourselves
Who are we fighting for
To fall on our knees
And feel like there is no more


What are we grasping for
Why are we wasting time
When there is no more
Will there be hope to find


It’s this life we are in
And a feeling of love
When there is loss
Then you think of


When it’s gone
Or is lost
The one holding on
Pays a great cost


For hundreds of miles
And a thousand few men
If it’s not you
Then it was your friend


Where do you go
How do you feel
Standing still
Facing what’s real


The life that you knew
The one that you had
There’s really no reason
For you to be sad


This life is a lesson
You sail your own ship
Living’s a test
There’s only one trip


Oh rare indeed
Is a wrath so apparent
Oh mother of God!
Does He have a parent?


Consumed by the ocean
With no where to wave
Without any lesson
Your life you can’t save


In all the intelligence
To ever have thought
There’s simply no way
Emotion is taught


The fire in passion
The force of love
The tears that flow
And hope to think of


Without all of this
For the cost of a life
To mean nothing at all
Is 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙒𝙍𝘼𝙏𝙃 𝙊𝙁 𝙎𝙏𝙍𝙄𝙁𝙀 ‼️
