Oh reflections
Pass us by
Certain times
Make us cry

If the power
Of some thoughts
Makes you tense
And stomach knots

Intense the hold
They have on you
Tension felt
Is nothing new

Teeth clenching
Afterthought
Remorse and shame
Mercy sought

Through the window
This timeframe
Captured here
Your not insane

Driving slowly
Entertained
Disturbed by fear
This mainframe

Only now
You have discovered
Accept it too
You’re not recovered

What is buried
In the deep
Secrets out
They never sleep

Festered ants
On a mission
Time released
No permission

You cannot hide
Nor dismiss
Anything
That is remiss

50 years
Can pass on by
Stronger is
The future cry

There is shame
To your crimes
Time is wasted
Buried mines

Although below
The surface deep
Tiptoe you will
And never sleep

The only place
Good for you
Is where you walk
With pure virtue
