There was a moment

Just today

I felt the world

Turn away

As I drove 

Along the road

Someone said 

Something bold

At me directed

And so cutting

Don’t they know

It’s revolting

When they say

So meanfully

I look away

From this bully

Why at me

Why this statement

Do they think

I hone abatement

That I would care

To lend an ear

When said to me 

By someone dear

If it’s said

To hurt me so

If it was them

Would they let go

Why to me

And why this moment

A Sunday trip

For some enjoyment

This little segment

Of my day

Hurt so much

By what they say

Was it fine

For me to question

And get an answer

With aggression

If it was me

Who said this thing

Surely sadness

It would bring

To the ears

We hear the sound

This is the devil

His campground

What he will add

To any word

Is always hateful

And absurd

When we hear

The tone also

Here is where 

He takes the show

At times he wears

Your parents mask

Others too

He won’t ask

Forcing thoughts 

Inside of you

This is what

He likes to do

When your heart

Receives the blow

Tortured minds

Like to grow

Knowing first

And most of all

Every person

Hears this call

Don’t give in

To this commotion

Understand 

It’s evil potion

From the ones 

Who chose to say

They are the tools

To chip away

Every strike

That you encounter

Offers you 

Another downer

This I tell

For I know

It’s ok 

If you feel low

Here’s the part

That I like best

There is a way 

To pass this test

Know the Devil

And his acts

Fight the evil

Heart attacks

Force your mind

To intercept 

This you know 

You won’t accept

Know your will

Own your power

Don’t give in

You are a flower

Every petal

Delicate

All together

You are perfect
