About this too

What it means

To understand

So many people

In the land

All so different

In this place

All apart of 

The human race

I may not speak

In foreign tongues

But I breath

With my lungs

I may not look

The same in colour

But I still cleanse

When I do shower

I may not believe 

In your religion

But I still pray

It’s my decision

I may have freedom

Unlike some others

But there are thoughts

That keep us under

I may not agree

So equally

To rights denied

No dignity

I may not dress

Like other people

But without our clothes

We are equal

I may not respect 

Many rules

There are just some 

That are so cruel

But what I know

And it’s the truth

It doesn’t take

A well trained sleuth

That since the earth

Was first discovered

The world has argued

It’s not recovered

To all the people

Who look different

We are the same

The rest is irrelevant.
