I’ve been there
Yes I know
I never said
But it can show

A crowded room
Or in your car
In your room
I’m not that far

Long before
I ever knew you
I was there
Wearing your shoe

As you say
All steps are fresh
But did you know
There’s more than flesh

The harboured way
We self indulge
Protecting all
To not unfold

Secret thoughts
And petticoats
Holding in
For pretty coats

Looking out
Behind your stare
Afraid of all
That is out there

Oh to hide
And hold your face
Poor smile of yours
Feels out of place

Retreat you want
To cower back
Just before
Panic attack

Missed the queue
And the question
Others see your
Apprehension

Then they look
And start to stare
Or is it nothing
But your own glare

Oh my Lord!
Will this end?
What is the message
Your spirit send

And why right now
Why this time
Do I hate
This life of mine

Oh God I’m sorry
I did not mean this
I don’t know why
The devil I kiss

Here I go
I’m leaving now
Partys over
Final bow

On my way
Out the door
I look back
Just once more

I don’t care
I don’t want
I don’t miss
I don’t flaunt

Lead the way
Hold my hand
Better yet
My body grand

I need a lift
You have me now
I give to you
I care not how

So happy now
I found a way
This hope it is
My price to stay
