Thinking back before this day

How it came to be this way

Did you master all of it

Every single little bit

Are there times that you question

Ask dear God if you’re from heaven

Did your parents purchase you

Or was your birthday a surprise too

Do you have siblings, that you like

Or cousins hence you like to fight

Did you change your own hair colour

Thinking that you’d look much better

How come your friends have it all

When you struggle and feel so small

How is it that you failed at school

And never felt really cool

But if you are successful

Was this just inevitable

Was it clear from day one

What had to be done

Did you know what was in store

Did you know something more

Is there a way to determine

What will be...is for certain

If you await and take no action

Will you have much satisfaction

But if you choose to play a hand

Don’t you think it might be grand

Life’s not fair, this is your fate

Predetermined gravitates

When you decide your reality

Did you just change your destiny

Accepting fate, so deterministic

But probability will help fix it

What you’re given Is all yours

What you have Is really more

Your outlook and positive view

Can change the taste of destiny’s brew

Fate says to you..”It is what it is”

Destiny says..”I got this”
