I wave to you so franticly Although in vane, you cannot see It’s been years since I’ve been here And now your steps are nowhere near As you follow paths unknown It seems to me we’re not alone By choice and lack of passion deep There’s some for many that never keep A journey started long ago Destiny’s aid did not forgo And though you had an empty bag It’s sad for those who chose to lag So in the end it’s time to unpack All life’s blessings off the rack So full for some and less for few It seems unfair to those who knew But thank you for the lesson learned For all I’ve lost and all I’ve yearned Without the life of living fair I’d know not how this courage dare I know my strength because of you It’s quite extraordinary, all I do And now I’m grateful; yes I am There is love and no exam Carry on, I’ll wave to you It’s time to go and say adieu Without the needs; not much to give Clearly now I see why you did live I’ll stand and watch your shadow go I’ll thank the Lord for all I know Without this love and God’s embrace I’ll smile and think of your dear face May peace be there to greet your soul I lower my wave and pay the toll No answers can I kindly reveal For all must live and hope to heal.
